Hydroxyethyl cellulose has surface activity, thickening, suspension, adhesion, emulsification, film-forming, dispersion, water retention and protection in pharmaceutical solid and liquid preparations.
Hydroxyethyl cellulose is also a key component in the formation of large bubbles because it is able to dissolve in water, but it also provides structural strength for soap bubbles. Among other similar chemicals, it is often used as mucus, which is a sticky substance.

Application

1.Hydroxyethyl cellulose ether hec is generally used as a thickener, protective agent, adhesive, stabilizer, and additive for the preparation of emulsions, jellies, ointments, lotions, eye drops, suppositories, and tablets.
2.Hydroxyethyl cellulose ether is used as a sizing agent in the textile industry, as an auxiliary agent for bonding, thickening, emulsifying, and stabilizing in the electronics and light industry sectors.
3.Hydroxyethyl cellulose is used as surfactant, colloidal protective agent, emulsification stabilizer for vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and other emulsions, as well as viscosifier, dispersant and dispersion stabilizer for latex.
4.Hydroxyethyl cellulose is widely used in printing and dyeing, textile, papermaking, medicine, sanitation, food, cigarette, pesticide and fire extinguishing agent, etc.
